Bruised Food Club — Uppsala

A filming crew is needed for a contemporary/Hip Hop dance performance for the planet!

Det här uppdraget går inte att anmäla sig till längre.

The Food Must Go On  is a contemporary/Hip Hop dance performance project organised by Bruised Food Club with which we want to raise awareness about food waste and invite you to explore our relation to food.
The piece takes the audience on a journey that starts under the soil, goes all the way through the food chain and reaches the human body and soul. A few months ago, we were looking for dancers and musicians, and now it is time to get a filming crew as the piece is coming to the end of its creation!

We are looking for someone who enjoys cinema and filming, who has interest in doing this volunteer work to get experience and develop their creative and cinematic skills further, and who has availability during the requested times. We are creating this project together, so your ideas are welcome and encouraged. The dancing crew is made up of 5 passionate food activists who love dancing and music. We are committed and we want our future filming crew to be as responsible as we are. This means that you are available at the decided dates and you get involved into the dance piece. We want you to be part of the group and not just stand outside and film. You will do the warm-ups and stretching with us, as well as the team building activities that we organise! Interested? Let us know!
We have budget to pay for meals and transportation if needed, and we can borrow good filming equipment from Studieförbundet Bilda, our main supporter.
Bruised Food Club is a non-profit organisation based in Uppsala that works locally to fight food waste and hunger. We organise weekly markets where we share food that we have saved from going to waste, as well as educational events such as workshops or panels discussions where we engage the local community in important discussions about the food supply chain and how to build more resilient and sustainable systems.

The shooting will take place on the weekend of 30-31st July It will be outdoors on a field or by a lake, and during different times of the day, so we want to put together a filming crew that has full availability. At least one person should be on site during the times of the shooting. For the filming crew to be familiar with the piece, we also want you to come to some rehearsals before that weekend to prepare together how the shooting will be conducted. That might be during some weekends and Mondays 18-20. The dance crew is meeting on Saturday 2nd July for a rehearsel. You are welcome to come then if you can. We might go to Morga and swim in the lake after dancing!
