The Red Cross Youth is a nationwide organization where we fight for a society based on love and respect and a place where all children and young people can feel safe and feel good. Are you interested in events and have many ideas to share? Then The Red Cross Yout's Event group could be something for you!

The Event group plans events for children and young people. The purpose of the events are to unite and engage young people in Gothenburg by raising interest in current social issues and by educating. As a volunteer in the Event group, you plan and hold workshops, lectures, debates and panel discussions, among other things. We collaborate with local businesses, libraries, schools and other non profit organisations.

A large part of our work consists of brainstorming ideas, planning and marketing ourselves. Before an event, we divide responsibilities between us and after each event we evaluate our work to see what we can do better. You don't need to have any previous experience of organizing events, but it is good if you have an interest in planning, like to work in groups and enjoy speaking in front of people. We are looking for you someone who is:

Between 15-30 years old
Collaborative
Interested in human rights and determined to make a difference
Your knowledge of Swedish is at least at an intermediate level

Minsta åtagande

To create stability and continuity in our group, we would like you to volunteer at least one semester and be involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of at least one event per semester.
