Newcomers Gothenburg is a gathering space and network for LGBTQI migrants and LGBTQI refugees.
We have activities and meetings twice a week and are seeking new volunteers to help us support our participants.

As a volunteer in Newcomers, you'll get to do just that.
As a volunteer in Newcomers, you will help us arrange activities and help our participants with things like CV, job search, practicing Swedish, exploring self-expression through movement or creative pursuits, finding community and belonging away from home (whatever you feel inspired to do).
Currently, we're looking for volunteers who can lend their time on Monday afternoon/evenings (if you feel like you have any specialty skills please let us know).

- Is an LGBTQI person themselves
- Is confident in yourself and in working in a group
- Is an attentive "listener" and can see to the needs of both individuals and the group
- Has knowledge of norm criticism and anti-racism
Being a volunteer within RFSL Gothenburg is a non-profit assignment and takes place without financial compensation.
We offer you:

RFSL, Riksförbundet för homosexuellas, bisexuellas, transpersoners, queeras och intersexpersoners rättigheter, är en ideell organisation som grundades 1950. RFSL:s målsättning är att samma rättigheter, möjligheter och skyldigheter ska gälla för hbtq-personer som för alla andra i samhället. RFSL Göteborg är förbundets näst största avdelning. Föreningen arbetar för att förbättra hbtqi-personers livsvillkor. Vi arbetar politiskt, socialt och medialt för att påverka samhället strukturellt och för att ge bättre livsförutsättningar individuellt.
