Volontärbyrån processes your personal data in accordance with GDPR and Swedish law. Here we explain how we use your data and what rights you have as a volunteer.
When do we collect personal data?
We collect personal data when you:
- apply for a volunteer opportunity
- create a user account at Volontärbyrån
Your data is only used for clear and lawful purposes.
What personal data do we process?
We may process the following data:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- date of birth (if you create an account)
- your municipality and the municipality of the opportunity
- text you write in forms
- IP address
Why do we process your personal data?
We use your personal data to:
- connect you with non-profit organisations
- manage your application
- administer your account
- send important information about Volontärbyrån
- produce statistics and develop our services
The legal basis for processing is consent and legitimate interest.
Who has access to your data?
- The organisation you apply to will receive your personal data.
- In these cases, the organisation and Volontärbyrån are joint data controllers.
- In some cases, we use trusted partners, for example for IT services or surveys.
How long do we keep your data?
We store your personal data for as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law. When the data is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Minors
If you are over 13 years old, you may use Volontärbyrån’s services.
The same rules for processing personal data apply to you as to adult users.
Your rights under GDPR
You are in control of your personal data.
You have the right to:
- know what personal data we have about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted when it is no longer needed
- request that processing be restricted in certain cases
- object to how your data is used
- receive your data in a portable format
