Are you passionate about human rights and want to stand up for and work for the rights of all LGBTQI people? Do you think that everyone has the right to be themselves and that love has no limits? Do you think our rights should apply to everyone - always and everywhere? If you answer YES to these questions, Amnesty Malmö's LGBTQI group is for you!

As a member of the group, you will work for the rights of LGBTQI people by organizing informative lectures, participating in demonstrations, writing encouraging letters to imprisoned human rights activists and much more!

We are looking for you as:
  • Passionate about the rights of LGBTQI people
  • I think it's fun to plan and organize
  • Want to fight for our rights!
  • Want to be part of a community that cares and takes care of each other

What does the assignment entail?
  • To regularly participate in the group's meetings about 1-2 times a month
  • To be part of the planning and execution of actions for the rights of LGBTQI people
  • To develop and improve the group's structure and working methods

What can you get out of the assignment?
  • Meet like-minded people who are just as committed as you
  • Learn more about organizing & activism
  • Great opportunities to deepen your knowledge of human rights in general, and LGBTQI rights specifically
  • Able to develop and gain knowledge in project management, organization and working in groups

No special training or experience is needed for the assignment; Amnesty will teach you what you need!

När och var sker uppdraget

The members of the group decide together where we meet and where we arrange our activities. The group has both digital meetings and on-site meetings in Amnesty's office in Malmö. Activities are mainly carried out in Malmö.
