Are you between 16 and 25 years old? Do you want to help hold decision makers accountable when it comes to environmental crime? Do you want to get trained in investigative skills alongside likeminded people?

From March to September 2026, Fältbiologerna is running the Environment Detectives project in Skåne and Västra Götaland. Starting with a training bootcamp in March, we will then work together on a local investigation, finally publishing our findings in August ahead of the Swedish elections. Along the way, we will have workshops with experienced investigative journalists that cover different skills and methods.

The investigation will involve field visits, interviews, looking at data, putting together different kinds of evidence and finally writing and publishing our story. Besides making a difference, this will also be great experience for anyone interested in working with research, journalism or campaigning!

Minsta åtagande

The project will consist of: a weekend in March for the bootcamp, a weekend writing retreat in June, plus in-person meetings every two weeks from March onwards. We will also have three guest workshops from investigative journalists. Ideally volunteers will have a few hours a week to put into the investigation between meetings.

När och var sker uppdraget

There will be two local groups in Skåne and Västra Götaland - though if you live elsewhere and are interested, please do contact us as we may have a way for you to be involved!

Fältbiologerna

Välkommen till organisationen för alla miljö- och naturintresserade unga mellan 6-25 år. Fältbiologerna är ute i naturen och inne i miljödebatten och är Naturskyddsföreningens ungdomsförbund. Med en grund i de ekologiska kunskaperna förespråkar Fältbiologerna ett långsiktigt gångbart resursutnyttjande och en rättvis omställning mot detta mål. Sedan 1947 har vi format både miljödebatten och nya generationer av miljösmarta medborgare. Hos oss får unga en relation till naturen och samtidigt verktyg för att organisera sig och påverka i samhällsdebatten.
