Main Responsibilities

Assist the referee by handling the Downmarker (try-to-play sign) during the game in the olympic sport of flag football.

Job Duties

Move and update the down marker after each play from the sideline
Follow the referees' signals
Ensure correct display of the current attempt
Be aware of the pace of play and match flow

Competence/profile

Good concentration
Punctual and accurate
Ability to work at a high pace
Basic understanding of American football is a merit

Number of volunteers

1 per game field
Total: 3 (3 parallel game fields)

Minimum commitment

Game format • Game round every 35 minutes • Game time: 2 x 12 minute rolling time • Half time: 2 minutes Staffing listing Due to the long tournament days, two staff shifts may be required on Friday and Saturday.

When and where the opportunity takes place

The assignment will be carried out indoors on the artificial grass field in Prioritet Serneke Arena, Krutvägen 2-4, 415 27 Gothenburg. The game officials will work during all matches of the tournament, see preliminary schedule below: • Friday 30/10: 07:30–22:30 • Saturday 31/10: 07:30–22:30 • Sunday 1/11: 07:30–13:00

As a volunteer, you will be part of a dedicated team in Prioritet Serneke Arena, where 50+ teams from all over the world compete during the Halloween weekend on 29/10-1/11.
