Cycle and Spread Joy in Bergsjön!

We are looking for you who wants to give your time and help elderly people in Bergsjön enjoy delightful bike rides in the area and feel the wind in their hair!   

On Wednesdays between 10 AM and 12 PM, a volunteer group is present at the Church of Sweden's open café in Bergsjön. As a volunteer with us at the Red Cross, you will provide a social presence in the café while also offering bike rides to those who wish to join and enjoy the beautiful nature in the area.   

You will be cycling on a modern and safe electric bike that has a sofa at the front where two passengers can sit. The length of each ride depends on the person(s) who want to join and can be adjusted each time.   

When the weather does not permit cycling, we conduct other activities such as having coffee together, playing board games, and socializing.   

We prefer that you, as a volunteer, have the opportunity to participate at least twice a month.  

WHAT YOU GET AS A VOLUNTEER   

As a volunteer, you help spread joy, foster community, and improve health — both your own and the participants'! As a volunteer, you will also certainly engage in and hear many wonderful conversations with people from various backgrounds and life stories.   

You also get to develop your own skills by participating in Red Cross courses and have the opportunity to train in areas such as first aid.
