Fika hosts for LGBTQIA+ fika wanted!
Every Thursday at 18-21, RFSL Uppsala welcomes everyone, LGBTQIA+ people, people with questions, and allies, to a cozy evening "home" at the office at Ljusbärargatan 2. We offer cookies and tea, coffee, games, and talks with others like- and different minded. An excellent opportunity to meet new people and get to know each other!
Now we're looking for people that can help host these events. The work entails the following tasks:
Preparations
The host arrives 30-45 ahead of the event and helps out with the following:
- Puts out the fika (snacks, drinks, etc.)
- Puts out decorations (flags, etc.), name tags, information, board games, and other diversions
- Ensures that the space is clean and guest friendly
- If there is a special theme, or a guest lecturer has been invited, the host gets together things that are needed for the purpose (decorations, projector, etc.)
During the fika
The host welcomes guests and makes sure that everyone is enjoying themselves. When new guests turn up, the host ensures that they are introduced to RFSL and get all the information they need.
Clean-up
After the fika the host helps to clean after the event, and makes sure that everything looks orderly in the room, and that RFSL’s possessions are stored at the office, which, like the door to the floor, is locked.
Minimum commitment
At least one time, ca 4 hours (including preparations and clean-up). You decide how many times you want to help out.
When and where the opportunity takes place
Thursdays 17.30-21.30 at Ljusbärargatan 2, floor 3, the staff break room (personalmatsalen).
