Volunteer in activities for children in Gävle

In Gävle, Save the Children runs several activities for children, including the sports programme DOIT, discussion groups for girls and boys, and a music studio. These activities are primarily aimed at children aged 10-12 and are designed to support every child's right to meaningful leisure time.

The activities take place several afternoons and evenings each week. The amount of time you contribute as a volunteer depends on your availability, but it is important that you can participate on a regular basis. As a volunteer, your main role is to be a trusted and supportive adult. Good knowledge of Swedish is required. Otherwise, no specific qualifications or previous experience are neededd.

All Save the Children volunteers are required to provide a criminal record check, complete introductory training on Save the Children's safeguarding policy, Safer Together, and sign Save the Children's volunteer guidelines before beginning their assignment.
