Event host during Göteborg Film Festival

During the 50th Göteborg Film Festival, 29 January–7 February, around 250 volunteers join our team to help make the festival possible. We screen around 250 films from approximately 80 countries at cinemas across the city, as well as online. During the festival, we also organise parties, award ceremonies, industry seminars, special screenings, meetings with filmmakers, and much more!

As a thank you for their contribution, all volunteers receive meals during their shifts, an accreditation card giving access to all festival screenings (subject to availability), as well as a membership to our streaming service, Draken Film.

Do you enjoy variety, decorating and setting things up, welcoming guests and audiences, providing great service, and making people feel comfortable? Then working as an event host could be the right role for you. You will help set up, run, and dismantle venues, parties, industry events, and seminars. The work is varied and fun, and your tasks may include simple decorating, checking guests against invitation lists at entrances, working in the cloakroom, and more. Lifting and walking in stairs may be required.
