Help Us Reduce Food Waste – Pick Apples and Pears in Älvsjö
Every year, large amounts of fruit go to waste in the gardens of Liseberg and Örby Slott. Many residents are unable to pick their apples and pears, and we want to change that. We are looking for volunteers to help pick fruit on August 29 between 10 AM and 4 PM.
As a volunteer, you will help reduce food waste while enjoying a pleasant day outdoors with others. We will take a lunch break, and you are welcome to take fruit home free of charge. Some of the apples will be sent for juice production, and as a volunteer, you can purchase juice at cost price (82 SEK for 3 liters).
You don’t have to apply, just tell us if you are coming, everyone is welcome!
