STOCKHOLM! project
Photographer for participatory art projects in Stockholm
STOCKHOLM! project is looking for a volunteer photographer to document our events, installations in public space and artistic photo shoots. The role is occasional and suits you if you enjoy creative photography and would like insight into how participatory art comes to life.
STOCKHOLM! project is a non profit cultural organisation working with participatory art in public space, socially engaged processes and interdisciplinary collaborations, in Sweden and internationally. We collect people’s anonymous answers to open questions and turn them into text installations, publications and works in the city.
As our photographer, you will help us capture what happens: the people taking part, the atmosphere on site and the works in their surroundings. The role may include:
- documenting events, workshops and openings
- photographing installations in public space
- artistic photo shoots together with our team
Your photos will be used in our communication, on social media, on our website and in the documentation of our projects. At the same time, you can build your portfolio with images from real art projects.
No formal training is required, but we would love you to have some experience in photography and an eye for both people and places. We value commitment, curiosity and the ability to work together with others.
Minimum commitment
This is an occasional role, linked to our events, installations and artistic photo shoots. Each occasion usually takes a few hours. We will always get in touch well in advance, and you choose which occasions you are able to join. There are no fixed weekly hours, but we hope you will want to photograph with us several times during the year.
When and where the opportunity takes place
The assignments take place in the Stockholm area, mainly in public spaces where our installations and events are held, but also at our premises and at locations chosen for artistic photo shoots. Times vary from project to project and may include evenings and weekends. We always share the date and place well in advance.
