Solidarity Rising

Resource database for Western Sahara

We are looking for volunteers who want to get involved in our work and help us build our resource database on Western Sahara.

Western Sahara is the world's largest colony according to the UN, and despite the fact that the occupation of Western Sahara has been going on for 50 years, very few people are aware of it and very few are involved in the issue.

We want to change that.

We have developed a database containing all available books, documentaries, articles, and reports on Western Sahara. The database is intended for journalists, activists, organizations, researchers, and citizens who want to learn more about the issue. Our goal is to make knowledge available to everyone, on equal terms.

In the longer term, our vision is to build similar resource databases for all occupied territories we work with in order to bring movements closer together and strengthen global cooperation.

As a volunteer in the project, you will:
  • Work with research
  • Collect and structure material such as documentaries, articles, reports, and books
  • Work in WordPress and post material on our website
