Rädda Barnen, Burlöv
Volunteer in Save the Children´s work for families in asylum process.
Asylum seeking families often live an uncertain every day life due to experiences of migration, lack of contacts and isolation. We want to help improve their well-being and need more volunteers! We are looking for someone who wants to be involved in our project and contribute by giving our participants a break from worries through our activities. We do that by offering play time and handicrafts for children and by being a support for children and parents.
Purpose? To help families in asylum to feel better by offering a place to play and a social context.
Who are we looking for? People who have an interest in children, childrens rights and the situation for people in migration. Are you also interested in additional tasks such as communicate with volunteers every week, let us know.
You need to be prepared to show us a draft from the police record and attend some of our complusary courses to make sure you feel comfortable being a leader in this project. We are happy to tell you more!
Minimum commitment
We have multiple activities per week and we would prefer if you are available at least 2 times per month.
When and where the opportunity takes place
We have activities both in Arlöv and Malmö on different times but mainly after lunch hours. When you apply we will talk about what time would suit you best.
