Volunteer Project Manager Wanted – Refugees Welcome Stockholm

Would you like to help create meeting places that foster inclusion, community, and hope for the future? Refugees Welcome Stockholm is looking for a volunteer Project Manager who wants to coordinate and develop one of our activities together with a dedicated team of volunteers.
Refugees Welcome Stockholm is a non-profit organization that is independent of religious and political affiliations. We work to strengthen asylum rights, promote inclusion, and ensure the dignified treatment of people with lived experience of displacement and forced migration. Since 2015, we have supported thousands of people through emergency assistance, community spaces, and guidance in navigating Swedish society.
Today, we run Rosa Station, our core program, where we offer language cafés, Swedish language classes, legal counselling, activities for children, and a range of other support services and community activities.

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and developing the program. You will serve as a point of contact for volunteers, help plan activities, and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. You will work alongside our current Project Manager and be part of a committed team where responsibilities are shared and mutual support is central.

Your responsibilities may include:
- Coordinating and supporting volunteers
- Planning and developing activities together with other volunteers and the board
- Assisting participants and visitors
- Helping to create an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Supporting the practical planning and implementation of activities

We are looking for someone who is organized, enjoys coordinating people, and has an inclusive approach. You share our values of equality, human dignity, and respectful treatment of all people. Previous experience in project management, non-profit organizations, or volunteer work is an asset, but not a requirement.

Minimum commitment

This is a voluntary, unpaid position and is well suited for someone who wishes to make a long-term commitment. The workload may vary over time, but we are looking for someone who can take on ongoing responsibility together with the other Project Manager and our volunteer team. We would like you to be able to start at the beginning of the autumn term. The activities take place at Midsommargården, Telefonplan 3, Hägersten.

When and where the opportunity takes place

Our regular program runs on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In addition, some planning, coordination, and communication with volunteers may take place between sessions. The autumn term begins on 25 August, and we are therefore particularly interested in applicants who are available to start at that time.
