Do you feel the need to do more in your community for human rights, especially in these turbulent times? Are you passionate about working for human rights alongside like-minded individuals? Amnesty is currently looking for committed individuals to join our groups in Sweden! As a member of an Amnesty group, you will work with other dedicated activists for human rights while also learning about project management, group dynamics, and organization.

The world we live in is becoming increasingly polarized, with less and less space for human rights. That's why it's more important than ever to join forces in the fight for the inviolable rights of every individual!

Amnesty International is now seeking human rights advocates to join one of our working groups. Each working group has different focus areas, working methods, and compositions. There are significant opportunities to find something that suits you!

Some groups focus on specific countries like Syria or Turkey, while others work with larger regions such as Latin America or the Middle East. There are also groups that focus on specific issues such as women's rights, LGBTQI issues, or the death penalty. All groups work in various ways, with methods ranging from letter-writing to authorities, collecting signatures, organizing events, and giving lectures.

The composition of groups varies greatly. Some groups consist mainly of students and young adults, while others are made up of older individuals and retirees. Some groups are a mix of members of all ages. Most groups use Swedish as their working language, but there are also several open to speaking English.

We will help you find the working group that suits you best!
As an activist, you will have significant opportunities to deepen your knowledge of human rights. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in project management, organization, and teamwork. Of course, you will also get to know many like-minded and wonderful activists. At the national level, various meetings are organized where all activists in Sweden can meet and network. In short, you can grow as much as you want within Amnesty!
