RFSL Uppsala is looking for a new treassurer, could it be you?
Job description:
- You will be a the treasurer on RFSL Uppsala's board, with your primary task being supporting general month-to-month operations through processes such as paying regular expenses, keeping track of salaries, and ensuring that obligations such as taxes are paid.
- You will also be working to keep track of the state of the budget of RFSL Uppsala across the year.
- The work can mostly be done from home, but working space at RFSL Uppsala's offices is also available.
- This work will not be done alone - you will also be working on these tasks with the rest of the RFSL Uppsala board, and our dedicated administrator employee.
- Collaborating with the board and administrator to work on applications for grants to secure long-term funding, as well as working to ensure the annual accounting is up-to-date.
What experiences/qualites might be helpful?
- Having experience with accountancy, working as a treasurer, or simply being good with numbers.
- Having a familiarity with, or understanding of, the queer community and struggles faced by the queer community in Sweden.
- Wanting to use and develop skills to support a disadvantaged minority group community, and be a part of something very meaningful.
- Feeling comfortable with self-directed work, as well as working with deadlines.
- Being comfortable asking for help when you need it. The rest of the board, and our administrator, will help and support you with your duties.
- No prior experience is required with accounting, or accounting software.
Minimum commitment
This board member position will begin in March 2026 and run for a year, ending in March 2027. One is not limited to a single term as treasurer. The time until March will be spent getting used to the systems and processes involved.
When and where the opportunity takes place
Place and time is flexible, as most of the work can be done online, but there is also office space at RFSL Uppsalas office in central Uppsala.
