If you can speak Swedish and speak and understand either Somali or Arabic, you are an interesting candidate for the role.

The business wants to help strengthen people's ability to search and find answers to their questions about how society works. We want to build trust in existing institutions and, where necessary, offer direct support to create a path for each.

As a volunteer within Community Advice, you help and guide you to the right information about society, authorities or the like.

The Red Cross Gothenburg Circle Community Counseling is a newly started activity that will work with basic community counseling, community orientation and that people who need support in this are referred correctly. Voluntary involvement forms the very basis of the Red Cross's work.

The role of volunteer community advisor is a valuable role where you guide and help the individual move forward in how contact can be created. Together with other volunteers, you meet them in a room in Biskopsgården once a week.

To be able to carry out the assignment, you need:

Have turned 18 years old.
Ability to create a pleasant and open atmosphere.
Good collaboration skills and a good listener.
Be able to distinguish between own needs and those of others.

In addition, we would like you to:

Can speak and understand Swedish, and can speak and understand either Somali or Arabic.
Is proactive and responsible.
Is calm and confident as a person
Is responsive and flexible.
Is creative and good at solving and finding ways forward
Is knowledgeable about computers and Smartphones as it is often through this way that information is sought and found

Minsta åtagande

Verksamheten sker en gång per vecka. Du förväntas delta under verksamhetens träffar, minst två träffar per månad samt vara aktiv under minst en termin.
