Volunteers for the World Masters Championships in Athletics in Gothenburg August 11-26, 2024
In August, 7000 athletes between the ages of 35 and perhaps up to 100 are expected to travel to Gothenburg from all over the world, as the Gothenburg Athletics Federation hosts the World Championships in Athletics for Masters.
We need your help and we hope you will join us in creating history. The championship runs between August 13-25, but we have volunteer assignments from August 1-26.
The volunteer work can be for example:

The volunteer work can be for example:
- Flag guards at street races
- Parking lot attendant
- Work in the arena cafe
- Keeping the area clean and tidy
- Work the souvenir shop etc.
- Before the championships, we need help with packing start kits for the athletes.
The championships are held in three arenas, of which Slottsskogsvallen is the main arena. Then beautiful Björlandavallen and Ullevi.
Minimum commitment
We would like you to come back for several days.
When and where the opportunity takes place
The working day starts at 07.00 and ends at 20.00. We can split the day into morning and afternoon shifts.

Göteborgs Friidrottsförbund, GFIF, är ett specialdistriktsförbund inom Svensk Friidrott. GFIF stöttar och utvecklar friidrott och föreningsliv. Förbundet äger och driver träningsanläggningen Friidrottens Hus. Inom Göteborg Friidrott finns 50 000 föreningsmedlemmar. Tillsammans med föreningarna arrangeras Göteborgsvarvet sedan 1980 och i år står förbundet värd för Veteran-VM i friidrott.
